Screening and Assessment: Conducting a comprehensive screening and evaluation process is essential for gaining insight into the severity and characteristics of drug abuse. This could entail gathering details about the person’s history of drug use, habits, and resultant outcomes. This can be accomplished through interviews, surveys, and standardized assessment instruments.
Physical Examination: The individual’s overall health, any medical complications related to drug abuse, and the presence of any co-occurring physical conditions can be gleaned from a physical examination.
Drug testing / dope test: Confirming the existence of certain substances in a person’s body and detecting the abuse of substances can be achieved through drug testing, using urine, blood, or hair samples. It is crucial to verify the accuracy and dependability of the testing procedures.
Psychological Assessment: It is crucial to evaluate an individual’s psychological well-being since drug abuse frequently accompanies mental health issues. This assessment may include examining symptoms of depression, anxiety, trauma, or other mental disorders either through interviews or standardized psychological assessment tools.
Social Assessment: It’s crucial to consider the social context of the individual when creating a treatment plan. This may include evaluating their relationships, family interactions, living situation, job status, and social support system. This assessment aids in recognizing possible stressors, triggers, and obstacles to their recovery.

Both individual and group therapy are significant components of addiction treatment, and their efficacy can be influenced by the individual and the particular situation.
Many individuals believe that once a person has completed a stint at a rehabilitation center, their treatment is complete and they are cured. However, this is not always the case. The treatment of drug addiction or mental illness is an ongoing process that requires adherence to certain guidelines, and the involvement of the patient’s family is crucial. To support this, we have created a comprehensive set of guidelines for both the client and their family. This is known as After-Care Services, which encompasses the following:
– Regular follow-up visits to AMC including free drug screening
– Programs for preventing relapse through counseling
– Counseling for the family
