The issue of drug addiction poses a significant threat to our society, impeding social and economic progress. From school-aged children to professionals, both men and women are increasingly falling prey to drug abuse, resulting in the erosion of their potential and contributions to their families, communities, and the nation as a whole. Despite the Government’s efforts to reduce the supply and availability of drugs, the situation is worsening every day. It is a significant problem affecting virtually every family. This issue has become global in nature. It requires a united effort from the Government and its citizens to address it. Providing support to addicted individuals and their families, reducing the harm caused by drugs, and helping them to recover and lead productive lives is a crucial alternative for serving the nation in this respect.
At House-77, Road-19, Sector-11, Uttara, Dhaka-1230, we founded the Addiction Management Center (AMC) on November 14, 2011 with the aim of supporting individuals combating drug addiction and delivering cost-effective treatment services. Our objective is to establish a cost-effective evidence-based treatment program for our clients, leveraging the skills of specialized medical doctors, psychiatrists, psychologists, and addiction professionals in Bangladesh that align with our socioeconomic context.
