This
tribute page has a special place in my heart, for these pets have left cherished memories that will live on for all of us to remember. Each of them had their own distinct personalities, many of these slowly came out over their time spent with me, while some were there from the beginning. Many a day a smile was on my face, because of them.
I would like to thank all of you, who have brought your pets to me for physical rehabilitation by recognizing your dedication and hard work, your determination in caring for your pet during this time and the love you freely gave to them. The path one chooses in caring for a debilitated pet is never easy. Many of you changed your daily schedules, re-arranged your homes, and moved your sleeping quarters; all to make your beloved pets' live a longer, less stressful and painful life.
Physical rehabilitation to me is not only assisting in the physical aspect of your pet, but also the environmental changes needed to assist them, and most of all the emotional support for both the pets and their families. Some of you I have come to know over several years and feel like I am a part of your lives and hold these memories dearly in my heart. I too become bonded to your pets and their families, and feel like I have lost one of my own family members, when we have to say goodbye.
I give to each of these families my deepest condolences and will always keep these memories close to my heart.
Sincerely,
Renee
Xena
Although Xena had a handicap, she always had a smile on her face and
a big kiss
for me every time I saw her.
Renee
Xena was a happy girl and her nub was always wagging. She was a love bug who gave soft kisses and soaked up affection like a sponge!
Denise
Yeager
Yeager, the wise man, could be stubborn at times, but was always
successful at making
us laugh.
Renee
Yeager was our "S" man. For 12 years, we knew Yeager as Sweet, Strong, Stoic,
Stubborn, and very, very Smart. So smart he could play dumb; so strong & stoic
he faced epilepsy, cancer and his muscle disease without a flinch. He was our hero.
Marilyn
Cassie
Cassie, our queen, was willing to do whatever we had planned for her, she never let us know she was in pain.
Renee
Our Angel, Cassie Holt-McDougal, truly a gift from God!

Hank
Hank's smiling face will be missed greatly in physical rehab. Hank always had his
job in mind while exercising in the underwater treadmill. When he was finished with his job it was time to go. Just as we bond to our patients, we also bond to their families. We will miss Hank very much and his mom and dad too!
Renee
Hank was our Big Man and the leader of our pack for almost 13 years. Even as he began
to slow down with the effects of DM he was ever the strong pack leader, making sure that
the "pups" kept in line. Always the working dog, he still guarded the house, even on his last day. He was a gentle leader who left behind a secure, intact pack, ready to step up to the job of taking care of us because of Hank's example. He was a rescue pup who came to us at 5 weeks old, and every day since the first he made us laugh and brought us love. We will miss him for the rest of our lives.

Missy
Missy, our "Princess", will be ever so greatly missed. She would greet me with
her soft eyes and wagging tail ready for her massage. She was such the trooper walking in the underwater treadmill for her chicken treats even though she could not understand why such a princess should have to exercise. Missy was a great girl, whom I really enjoyed working with and will miss her alot.
Renee
This picture says it all! Missy was never into walking other than to
see if people would stop and admire her. Renee, with boiled chicken in
hand, was able to get my girl to walk in the water tank for 9-10
minutes! Missy tried in vain to keep her tail above the water line.
And when she was drying off, her body and her tail were in separate time
zones. Missy enjoyed her massage/stretches the most. We would have to
wake her up to turn her over! My girl will truly be missed.

Buddy
Buddy had his struggles from the day I met him, having good days and bad days. He was always happy to come visit us for his rehab session. Buddy would work as hard as he could and loved getting his reward, “treats!”. Buddy lost his battle to cancer a couple of months ago. He will be forever missed.
